What is going on with all these injuries?

My fantasy baseball team continues to get hit with injuries as I continue to hold on to 10th place in the 12-team league. My DL  list includes Evan Longoria, Roy Halladay, Troy Tulowitski, Chipper Jones and Cody Ross. I've dropped Ross this week and picked up the former D'back Carlos Quentin, but my roster is thin.
