The Thornydale Little League All Stars ran into a hard-hitting Canyon View team tonight at Mehl Park, dropping their first District 5 game, 10-3. Right-hander Eric Barrett was a handful at the plate and on the mound tonight, pitching four shutout innings and clobbering two home runs to lead his Canyon View team to victory. Down 5-0 in the fourth inning, Thornydale sent right-hander Jadon Price to the mound in hopes of cooling off the Canyon View bats. Price did just that as he shut down CV for two innings. Unfortunately, Thornydale could muster only one run until the bottom of the sixth when they were able to plate two more runs. Thornydale falls to 1-1 and will need a win tomorrow against the Coronado All Stars to remain alive in the tournament. Good job, Jadon. Go get 'em tomorrow night.
