Arizona reaches championship series at CWS

Robert Refsynder and Bobby Brown went yard and the Wildcats banged out 15 hits en route to a 10-3 win today in Omaha over Florida State to advance to the 2012 College World Series championship series. The Wildcats (3-0) will open the three-game series on Sunday to decide this year's national champion and will take on Arkansas or South Carolina. The Razorbacks and the Gamecocks play tonight. If Arkansas (2-0) wins they will eliminate South Carolina (2-1), but  if the Gamecocks win they will force another game tomorrow. However you look at it, the Wildcats are in great shape as they'll enjoy another two days off before they tangle with their final opponent in Omaha. Once again, it was Kurt Heyer who got the job done on the mound for the Wildcats as he hurled 7 1/3 innings and threw another 123 pitches. That's 251 pitches in two games at the CWS for Heyer, who improves to 13-2 this season. Hats off, to Heyer and the Wildcats!
