Diamondbacks plate 30 runs in 3-game series with Seattle
The Arizona Diamondbacks are midway through a six-game home stand and if nothing else they are showing their fans that they can hit. The Diamondbacks take 2 of 3 from the Mariners and in the process plate 30 runs, 14 of them coming today at Chase Field as they rip five homers over the fence and one inside-the-park job by Ryan Roberts to make it a total of six. Arizona pummels the Seattle pitching staff for 16 hits, win 14-10 today and move their season record to 34-35. And once again, the D'backs will take their shot at getting over the .500 mark as they take on the Chicago Cubs in a three-game series, beginning on Friday night.
