U.S men's and women's b-ball teams slip by Australia

The U.S men's and women's Olympic basketball teams had their hands full from the two teams from down under. Kobe Bryant scores 20 on Wednesday to lead the U.S. men's team to a 119-86 victory as the Americans move on to the semifinals at the Summer Olympic games in London. Lebron James records a triple-double with 11 points, 14 rebounds and 12 assists. The U.S women's team slips by the stubborn team from Australia today 86-73 in their semifinal game behind the play of Sue Bird (13 points), Diana Taurasi (14 points) and Tina Charles (14 points).  The U.S. women's team will go for the gold on Saturday against the winner of the other semifinal played later today, which pits Russia against France. The U.S. men's team will take on Argentina on Friday, while Russia and Spain will battle in the other semifinal with the winners to play for the gold medal on Sunday.
