Spain battled the U.S. men's team for the better part of three and a half quarters, but in the end the Americans distanced themselves from the Spaniards in the final moments and won the gold medal in men's basketball at the XXX Olympiad in London by a score of 107-100. Kevin Durant scores 30 points in the win, while Pau Gasol led Spain with 24 points. The win gives the U.S. 46 gold medals at the Olympic Games and 104 total medals as the 2012 Games reaches its final hours of competition.
