Records fall as Team USA explodes in win over Nigeria

Bookemdanosports 2012 Summer Olympics Update

In the highest scoring basketball game in Olympic history, the USA men knocked off Nigeria 156-73 today in London. Carmelo Anthony scores 37 points to lead all scorers as Team USA netted 49 points in the first quarter to get the party started. The Americans tally 29 three-pointers, just one of the many records set in today's game. The Nigerians made only 28 field goals for the entire game. It should get a little tougher for the USA men as they take on Lithuania on Saturday. By the way, the 156 points scored today beats the old record for points by 18!
