Clemens has an open invitation to play for the TOTS

Roger Clemens (photo above) will take the mound for the Sugar Land Skeeters Saturday as he makes his return to professional baseball at the age of 50. If things don't pan out for the Rocket this weekend, we should let him know that he has an open invitation to play for the Tucson Old Timers (TOTS), the oldest organized baseball team in the country.

On second thought, Clemens would have to wait another ten years before he would become eligible for the TOTS. But, we'd love to have him. He'd have it pretty easy with the TOTS -- we play only seven innings, there is no stealing bases,  and it only cost five dollars a month. On second thought, Jaime Moyer is welcome, too. Rumor has it Clemens can still bring it and has been clocked at 87 miles per hour with that fastball of his. Could this be just a weekend outing for Clemens or is this a stepping stone for his return to the Majors after a five-year absence?
