In front of a crowd of 80,203 at Wembley Stadium in London, the United States won the gold medal in women's soccer today with a heart-stopping 2-1 victory over Japan. Carli Lloyd scored both goals for the Americans, one in the early moments of the first half and the other early in the second half. Goalie Hope Solo defended her territory through out the match -- including a diving block with just eight minutes to go. Congrats, Team USA!
