U.S adds two more gold medals on Day 14

The United States freestyle wrestler Jordan Burroughs brought home a gold medal and the women's 4x100 relay team won the gold medal in track and field today, Day 14, of the XXX Olympiad in London. The two gold medals, along with a silver (men's 4x400 relay team, track and field) and a bronze by Paige McPherson in women's taekwondo gives the U.S. 94 medals, 13 more than China ( 37 gold, 25 silver, 19 bronze). The United States men's basketball team sailed through their semifinal today as they pounded Argentina 109-83 and will face Spain on Sunday for the gold. Kevin Durant led the Americans in scoring with 19 points.
Olympic note: The USA women's 4x100 relay team of Tianna Madison, Allyson Felix, Bianca Knight and Carmelita Jeter not only won the gold medal but shattered the world record in the event with a time of 40.82 seconds. Photo below: USA 4x100 relay team celebrates.
