Countdown to Wildcats football

The Arizona football season opener is just six days away.

Coach Rich Rodriquez will send quarterback Matt Scott to the field at Arizona Stadium next Saturday as the Wildcats tangle with Toledo. The Arizona fans will see a whole new look -- new offense, new defense and a string of new coaches along the sideline. It should be a tough season.

Here's hoping Scott can stay healthy along with running backs Ka'Deem Carey, Taimi Tutogi and Daniel Jenkins.  Coach Rod and the Wildcats can't afford the injury bug this year and especially to those four players.  Defensively, the 3-3-5 odd stack will need to get the job done and ask a lot out of linebacker Jake Fischer, safeties Tra'Mayne Bondurant and Marquis Flowers, and cornerback Shaquille Richardson. Once again, those four players need to take the field every week in order for the 2012 Wildcats to be successful.

Go get 'em, Arizona.
