Diamondbacks win one!

The Arizona Diamondbacks have had little to cheer about lately, but last night in Los Angeles they picked up a win with a 2-0 victory over the Dodgers.

If only they could make a carbon copy of last night's gem and paste a similar result in the win column in every game down the stretch. Chris Young hit a two-run homer off Dodger Ace Clayton Kershaw, while Ian Kennedy did his job on the mound for  6 1/3 innings and the Diamondbacks' bullpen did the rest. Kennedy allows just two hits and shuts down the middle of the Dodgers' heralded lineup. One win in the books. The Diamondbacks need three more over the weekend to at least close the gap on the second-place  Dodgers.
