Diamondbacks win, Davidson belts his 2nd 3-run homer in two days


The Arizona Diamondbacks beat the Rockies 13-9 at Coors Field tonight and won the three-game series 2 to 1. The D'backs improve to 79-76 and close out their season with a four-game series at San Diego and a three-game series at Chase Field with the Washington Nationals.

Rookie Matt Davidson did his thing again tonight as he belted an RBI-double in the third inning and then hit his second 3-run homer of the series in the ninth as the Diamondbacks matched the Rockies in hits with 19.

Arizona's all-star first baseman Paul Goldschmidt doubled in a run and scored a run in the third inning. It was Goldy's 123rd RBI of the season and his 100th run scored. Goldschmidt leads the National League in RBIs and leads in home runs with 35.
