The 70-and-over MSBL/MALB World Series roster for the Arizona Scorpions has been finalized and eight of the 15 players are members of the Tucson Old Timers (TOTS) baseball club.

The Arizona Scorpions begin play at the senior world series in Phoenix on Monday, Oct. 14.

The eight players from Tucson and their ages are Arnie White (72), Chico Bigham (75), Danny Price (68), Eddie Eckert (73), Jeff Helzel (73), Jerry Hamelin (73), Ron Petersen (68) and Ed Rife (76).

The balance of the roster includes two players from the Phoenix area, one player from the south side of Tucson, who plays for the 60-and-over Arizona Rattlers, three players from out of state, and one player from France.

The player from France is 70-year-old Don Kladstrup and the player from the Arizona Rattlers is 70-year-old Tony Bonilla. The Phoenix players include Dorhman Sinclair (72) and Tony Contreres (68). The out of state players include Jim Jaquet (71) from Ketchum, Idaho, Phil Webster (72) from Camby, Indiana and Allan Sandberg (71) from Monument, Colorado.

The Arizona Scorpions will play five round-robin games (one game a day during the week) and eight teams will qualify for the playoffs, which begin on Saturday morning, Oct. 19. The championship game for the 70-and-over division will be held Sunday morning, Oct. 20, at Tempe Diablo Stadium.
