And along comes Dan Haren...

It seems like everyone is getting into the act of silencing the bats of the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Tonight it was Washington's Dan Haren, the former Diamondback, who gets the job done as he throws seven innings of shutout ball-- allowing Arizona just four hits, as the Nationals beat the D'backs 2-0. He struck out five and walked one. Haren, who signed a one-year, $13 million deal with the Nationals at the beginning of the season, improved his record to 10-14 as he bested the D'backs starter Brandon McCarthy, who went seven innings and gave up both runs.

Arizona is not ending the season on a good note. The Diamondbacks fall to 80-81 and need a victory on Sunday to even the slate for the season.
