Jim Furyk, a former All-American golfer for the Arizona Wildcats, fires a 59 today at the BMW Championship and becomes just the sixth player in golf history to complete the feat.
Furyk sank a birdie putt on his 18th hole to tie for the prestigious record and he is the only player to card a 59 with a bogey on his scorecard.
Despite his 59, Furyk is tied for first with Brandt Snedeker, after two rounds of the BMW championship, which is being held in Forest Lake, IL. Both players enter Day 3 with a two-day total of 131.
