Foles explodes...thank goodness!
In the Stands Report by Bookemdanosports: I didn't miss the mark by much! I predicted a Wildcats' win by the score of 42-14 over the NAU Lumberjacks. The final, of course, was 41-10 at Arizona Stadium last night. Chances are no one could have predicted the Wildcats would go flat in the second quarter of their season opener against the Lumberjacks, and who would've thought NAU quarterback Cary Grossart would have connected on 16 straight passes in the first half, making the 51,000 in attendance squirm in their seats at intermission. But, that is what happened.
Fortunately, Arizona quarterback Nick Foles was around to save the day as he threw for an incredible 412 yards and five touchdowns as the Wildcats cleared the cobwebs in the second half and won easily.
Up next: Oklahoma State on Thursday in Stillwater. This one will be a bit tougher. Oklahoma State scored 61 points yesterday in the Cowboys' easy win over Louisiana-Lafayette. Wow!
