D'backs take series from Rockies

The Arizona Diamondbacks (82-61) beat the Rockies in the mile-high city tonight 5-3 to take two of three games in Colorado and increased their lead in the NL West over the San Francisco Giants to seven games. The Giants lost to the Padres, 3-1, in San Diego tonight and the D'backs head home for a four-game stand against the Padres. The D'backs scattered 13 hits around Coors field, including home runs by Miguel Montero and Justin Upton.
