Diamondbacks walk their way to win No. 87

The Arizona Diamondbacks received a bases-loaded walk to Chris Young in the top of the 10th off of Dodgers' reliever Javy Guerra and went on to beat the Dodgers, 5-4, tonight in Los Angeles.

Gerardo Parra scored from third in what proved to be the winning run as Guerra suddenly lost the strike zone. The victory was the Diamondbacks' 87th win of the season with just 13 regular-season games remaining on their schedule. D'backs' reliever Micah Owings (7-0) picked up the win and catcher Miguel Montero hit a two-run homer in the first inning and knocked in another run later in the game with a sacrifice fly. Parra added a solo shot in the seventh inning and also singled in the 10th inning to start the Arizona rally. J.J Putz picked up his 40th save, pitching to just four batters in the Dodgers' final at-bat. Arizona (87-62) maintains its 8 1/2 game lead over the Giants. The Giants beat the San Diego Padres tonight in San Francisco, 3-2, in 12 innings.
