Diamondbacks' lead in NL West shrinks to 5

The Arizona Diamondbacks lost to the Padres tonight in San Diego. For the second night in a row the Diamondbacks' bats were quiet as the Padres win it, 3-1. Arizona records just five hits on the night, while up in Denver the San Francisco Giants took care of business with a 6-5 win over the Rockies.
