Zito zings!

The San Francisco Giants lefty Barry Zito has had his ups and downs the last few years, but in St. Louis last night he got the job done. Zito scattered 11 hits and recorded six strikeouts in 7 2/3 innings to lead the Giants to a  5-0 win over St. Louis to keep San Francisco alive in the NLCS.

The Giants' victory in Game 5 cuts the series lead for the Cardinals to, 3-2. Pablo Sandoval hit a solo home run in the eighth inning.
