Giants pull even with St. Louis

It was the Giants turn to flex their muscles last night as they knocked off the St. Louis Cardinals, 7-1, to even the NLCS at 1-1.

The hometown crowd in San Francisco had a lot to cheer about last night, including a good effort from Angel Pagan who went 2 for 4, scored twice, walked once and hit a leadoff home run in the bottom of the first inning. Ryan Vogelsong pitched seven strong innings, allowing just four hits, while striking out four and walking only two batters.

The series shifts to St. Louis on Wednesday.
