Tarczewski is the real deal

The Arizona Wildcats won their exhibition game against Humboldt State tonight, handily. With freshman center Kaleb Tarczewski leading the way, the Wildcats win by 41 at McKale by a score of 108-67. The 7-0 center, scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and had his way underneath the bucket tonight as the visiting Lumberjacks just couldn't match up with big No. 35. Coach Sean Miller ushered in ten players tonight and all of them contributed as the Wildcats led at the half 46-35 and then  added another 62 in the second half. They flew by the century mark with just under two minutes left on the clock. Grant Jerrett looked impressive as well, putting up nine points, three assists, five rebounds and three blocks, while Brandon Ashley got into the act as well, plugging in 12 points to go along with his eight rebounds. Mark Lyons hit four of seven from three-point land, dished out five assists and scored 15 points. Soloman Hill and Nick Johnson quietly went about their business with 15 and 14 points, respectively. An announced crowd of around 12,000 enjoyed themselves as Miller made sure to showcase his top-10 players -- the other four being Keven Parrom (8 points), Jordin Mayes (6 points) Angelo Chol (5 points) and Gabe York (6 points). Of course, there's room for improvement, especially at the charity stripe as Arizona misses 13 of 32 attempts, but all in all, I'm a happy camper. I enjoyed myself and foresee good things from this group of young men. Go, Wildcats!
