Oh, what a feelin'

Oh, what a feelin' it must be like to step to the plate in the bottom of the ninth inning of a Major League baseball game with your team trailing be one run. With the hometown crowd cheering, you await the first pitch, swing, and hit a three-run homer over the left field fence. Well, that's exactly what happened to the Diamondbacks' Aaron Hill tonight as he ripped the first offering from  Colorado Rockies' Rafael Bentancourt into the left field seats at Chase Field, giving Arizona a 5-3 win. It was Arizona's 81st win with one more game remaining in the season.

The Diamondbacks can finish the 2012 season at 82-80 with a victory over the Rockies tomorrow at 4:10 p.m. Hill's homer was his 26th of  the year. Ian Kennedy (15-11) will take the mound in the finale.

Come on, D'backs, close it out in style!
