Yankees survive!

The New York Yankees eliminated the Baltimore Orioles 3-1 tonight and will advance to the ALCS. The Yankees got a superb effort from  C.C. Sabathia. The hard-throwing lefty pitched a complete game and allowed just four hits while striking out nine.  Curtis Granderson hit a solo shot for the Yankees in the seventh inning. New York will host the Detroit Tigers in the first game of the ALCS on Saturday.
