Aces fall to El Paso Tejanos, 8-6, in MSBL finale

The Tucson Golden Aces 60-and-over team lost this afternoon to the El Paso Tejanos, 8-6, in the Men's Senior Baseball League (MSBL) World Series championship game held today at Phoenix Municipal Stadium.

Down 4-3 to the Aces, the El Paso team scored five runs in the bottom of the seventh inning and went on to win the 60-and-over division MSBL title. The Aces picked up a couple of runs down the stretch, but it wasn't enough to overtake the Tejanos. According to manager Mike Morales, the Aces performed well during the past two weeks. The Aces' 65-and-over team went 4-2 last week and the 60-and-over team finishes 7-2 this week. "They knew the Aces were in town," Morales said.

Good job, guys! There's always next year.
