TOTS to play under the lights Friday night

Tucson Old Timers (TOTS)

60-and-over baseball at Udall Park, April 10, 2015

Members of the 60-and-over Tucson Old Timers (TOTS) baseball club will be on display at Udall Park on Friday night. Game time is set for 6 p.m.

The TOTS normally play just after the sun comes up on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at Udall, but will wait until the sun goes down on Friday for a seven-inning game under the lights.

Taking the mound for Team Blue will be 64-year-old right-hander Lloyd Barzell, while Team White will counter with 69-year-old right-hander Pigpen Price.

Team White will field a hard-hitting lineup which includes speedster Dennis Crowley, along with  left-handed power hitter Tim Tolson, the club's home run leader, and two right-handed long ball hitters, Doc Thompson and Dave Rhoades.

Team Blue will counter with two left-handed power hitters of their own,  Ron Petersen and Joe Opocensky, along with three of the TOTS' top contact hitters, Jesse Ochoa, John Misiaszek and Arnie White.

Also playing for Team Blue are Ron Carlson, Bob Royer and Jerry Hamelin, while Chico Bigham, Leon Glasshoffer, Ted Davis and Dick Ducklow complete the Team White lineup.

The oldest player on the field Friday night will be Team Blue first baseman Floyd Lance, 89 years young.

Go get 'em, TOTS! The spotlight will be on you!
