Team White knocked off Team Blue 15-9 tonight at Udall Park in a 60-and-over Tucson Old Timers (TOTS) baseball game.

The game  was a real nail-biter until the bottom of the fifth inning when Team White plated three runs  to break a 9-9 tie.

With two outs, Dave Rhoades hit an opposite field double to right field and Pigpen Price scored all the way from first base to break the tie and Dick Ducklow followed with a two-run single to left field to give Team White a 12-9 lead.

Team White added three insurance runs in the sixth inning. Ducklow went 4 for 4  on the night and drove in four runs, while Rhoades went 3 for 5 and drove in four runs. Price reached base five times during the game, scoring four runs while contributed three singles.

John Misiaszek was the big gun for Team Blue with three hits in four trips to the plate.

Doc Thompson relieved Price in the third inning and pitched five innings to pick up the win, while Arnie White, who struck out eight Team White hitters, was saddled with the loss, due mainly to some costly infield errors in the first, third, fifth and sixth innings.
