Bradley grabs 2nd win with Diamondbacks

Arizona Diamondbacks

Archie Bradley (2-0) shook off a shaky start and ended up tossing a two-hitter for six innings as the Arizona Diamondbacks beat Texas 8-5 tonight at Chase Field. The Diamondbacks earned a split in the two-game set, after wasting another quality start by Chase Anderson on Tuesday night in a disappointing 7-1 loss to the Rangers.

Anderson, who has had three starts this season with a no decision in all three, left Tuesday's game after giving up just one run in seven innings of work. The Arizona bullpen fell apart down the stretch. Tonight, Bradley left the game with a 5-1 lead and once again the bullpen was shaky in the ninth.

Chris Owings tripled and homered for the Diamondbacks tonight. Owings scored twice and drove in two runs.

Arizona improves to 8-7 and awaits the arrival of the Pittsburgh Pirates for a three-game series on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
