Wilson JHS 14 Tortolita 0

Junior High Football

Wilson Junior High School quarterback Jadon Price threw a 23-yard touchdown pass at the start of the fourth quarter and scored on a 1-yard plunge later in the quarter to lead the unbeaten Wranglers to a 14-0 win over Totolita this afternoon at the Cougars' field. It was the fourth win of the season for the Wranglers and puts them in the driver's seat to win the league title, while the Cougars (3-1), last year's champions, suffered their first loss. Price found Cory Buechler down the right sideline for the first score of the game and then connected with Brayden Smith on 50-yard pass play to set up the Wranglers' second touchdown of the game. Jadon and the Wranglers take on Marana next Wednesday and close out the season the following Wednesday against Coronado. Way to go, Wranglers!

Photos: 1) Jadon, not in picture, has three options in the Wranglers' backfield. The big fella is his top option. 2) One of the Cougars' biggest plays from scrimmage. 3) One of two pages of Jadon's playbook, worn on his right arm.
