The MSBL World Series schedule for the Arizona Scorpions

We're just two and half weeks away from the MSBL World Series.

As I said in a previous post, I have recovered enough from my foot surgery to play for the Arizona Scorpions, a 70-and-over team which will battle teams from all over the country in hopes of winning the division title at the MSBL World Series, to be held in Phoenix, Oct 15-21. It'll be the 25th anniversary of the MSBL, which stands for Men's Senior Baseball League.

In pool play, the Arizona Scorpions will open the series against a team from Southern California called Dodgertown West, take on the Ohio Classics on Day 2, play a double header on Day 3 against two teams from San Diego (the Mudcats and the Padres) and finish up with a game against a team from Sacramento. Nine teams are in the division -- the other three include the New England Red Sox, the South Dakota Rushmores and a team from the Bay Area, called Tri Valley. The top two teams will square off for the division title on Sunday, Oct. 21 at the Maryvale Stadium, the spring training home of the Milwaukee Brewers. The Scorpions' opener will be held at Tempe Diablo Stadium, the spring training site for the LA Angels at 9 AM on Monday, Oct. 15. Listed below is the pool play schedule for the Arizona Scorpions.
