Aaron Hill hit a 3-run homer in the eighth inning tonight in Denver as the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the Rockies for the third day in row. Hill went 3 for 5 for the night and scored twice as Arizona prevailed 10-7 to move to 77-75 and remained in the race for a wild card spot.
The Diamondbacks banged out 16 hits, including four by reserve catcher Wil Nieves, who subbed for Miguel Montero tonight. Trevor Cahill takes the mound for the D'backs tomorrow as they seek a sweep of the four-games series with the Rockies.
Way to go, Diamondbacks.
