Nationals, Reds reach the 90-win mark
It remains to be seen if there will be a 100-game winner in the majors this year.
The Washington Nationals and the Cincinnati Reds are certainly knocking on the door. Washington goes into play today with a 90-58 record with 14 games remaining in the regular season, while the Reds are at 90-59 and have just 13 games left. As for our Arizona Diamondbacks, well they did get back to the .500 mark last night after their 6-2 win over the Padres. The D'backs (74-74) have a slim chance at the second NL wild card spot and need to pretty much run the table (that would be 14 straight wins to finish at 88-74) to get there.
