St. Thomas scores 3 runs in the eighth inning to beat the Texans, 7-4

Men's Senior Baseball League World Series

70-and-over American Division

Another loss at the Men's Senior Baseball League (MSBL) World Series.

St. Thomas scores three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to break a 4-4 tie and went on to beat the San Antonio Texans, 7-4.

I once again had a good day defensively at third base, but at the plate went 1 for 4 and a walk. Now a dismal 3 for 13 in four games. My teammate Ron Petersen went 0 for 2 today, but did walk three times and was on base four times. Petersen is 3 for 11 in the tourney.

Once again we couldn't get the key hit when we needed it.

Up next: Australia on Thursday at 12:30 p.m at the Tempe Diablo Complex (Field #2)

Looks like Ron and I will have Friday off before we begin play on Saturday with our teammates on the 65-and-over Tucson Aces. The Aces open up at 12:30 p.m on Saturday against the Ohio Classics at Fitch Park in Mesa (annex field SE #1).
