Hosmer's single in 8th sends Royals to World Series

Eric Hosmer singled in Lorenzo Cain in the bottom of the eighth inning as the Kansas City Royals punched their ticket to the World Series with a 4-3 victory in Game 6 of ALCS last night.

The game was tied in the eighth when rain visited the ball park in Kansas City. A forty-five minute delay ensued. In the end, the rain just delayed the home town fans celebration.

It'll be the New York Mets and the Kansas City Royals in the World Series.

The World Series begins Tuesday in Kansas City.
