Wildcats finish 4-3 on road trip

The University of Arizona baseball team returns home today after a seven-game road trip, which left the Wildcats with a 4-3 record to open the 2016 season. Arizona won 2 of 3 from the Rice Owls (8-1, 6-2, 3-4), lost a single outing to Lamar (13-5) and finished the trip in San Diego with a loss to Tulane (11-10), while picking up wins over Nebraska (11-10) and San Diego State (7-3).
Cody Ramer was the top hitter for the Wildcats on the trip. Ramer played in all seven games, went 12 for 31, knocked in six runs, scored eight runs and batted .387. He also banged out three doubles and had one triple.
Arizona takes a quick trip to Scottsdale on Tuesday for an exhibition game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
