Utah beats Arizona, 70-64

Arizona Wildcats Basketball

A wild one in Salt Lake City!

Arizona, down by 11 points at halftime, stormed back in the second half, but couldn't get anything to fall in the final two and half minutes and Utah beat the Wildcats today in Salt Lake City, 70-64.

The Utes, on the other hand, scored the final seven points of the game and the ninth-ranked Wildcats fall to 22-7 and 10-6 in the Pac-12 Conference.

Utah led at the half, 40-29. Arizona outscored the Utes 35-30 in the final 20 minutes.

Allonzo Trier led the Wildcats with 23 points, but in the end he hit 8 of 17 from the field, most of those misses coming late in the second half. It's that same old story, the ON THE ROAD CURSE as Trier's final shot attempts rimmed out.

The Wildcats will be glad to return home after being swept by Colorado and Utah.

With the Pac-12 title all but lost, the new season begins -- its called the NCAA Tournament.
