Anderson leads Wildcats to win over Washington

Ryan Anderson scored 22 points and grabbed 15 rebounds as the Arizona Wildcats won a wild one in Seattle, Washington today with a 77-72 Pac-12 victory over the Huskies.

The Wildcats ended the first half on an 8-0 run and walked off the court with a 44-38 lead. Gabe York canned two back-back three-pointers down the stretch and Allonzo Trier saw action in the first half and scored five points -- including a three-pointer, but it was Anderson who did most of the damage against the Huskies in the first 20 minutes with 12 points and eight rebounds.

Arizona gave it all back to start the second half as the Huskies went on an 11-2 run and regained the lead 49-46 with 16:01 left in the game.

The Wildcats fought back and went on a 10-0 run, but couldn't hold off the Huskies and with 7:36 left in the game Trier went to the line with Arizona leading by one, 60-59. Trier calmly sank both free throws and the Wildcats enjoyed a three-point lead. Anderson went to the line at the 6:22 mark, canned two more free throws and the Wildcats were up five.

Arizona lost Trier at the six minute mark with five fouls and the Huskies battled back to tie the game at 66-66 with 3:54 remaining. Anderson made two free throws with 1:40 left to put the Wildcats back in the lead at 72-70 and Allen hit a three with one minute remaining to up the lead to five.

Anderson took over from there. He battled underneath for an offensive rebound with 16 seconds remaining and was fouled. Anderson sank both free throws to put the Wildcats up for good, 77-72.

Gabe York scored 18 points, including four 3-pointers, and Dusan Ristic added 11 points. Trier finished with seven points and two steals.

Arizona improves to 19-5 and 7-4 in the conference.
