Arizona (2-2) ran into a buzz saw last night in Beaumont, Texas, losing 13-5 to Lamar.

The Wildcats sent six pitchers to the mound -- five of them gave up runs as Lamar (4-0) had 12 hits -- including two grand slams. All the scoring was completed before the seventh inning. Arizona's final relief pitcher Cody Deason did the best of the six pitchers, allowing one hit and no runs in two innings of work.

Cody Ramer is the hitting star for the Wildcat after four games. Ramer is 8 for 16 with two doubles and five RBI.
