60-and-over baseball
It was a real slug fest at Udall Park today as Team White held on for a 15-13 win over Team Blue in a 60-and-over Tucson Old Timers game.
Dick Ducklow, 74, was the big hitter for Team White with a 4 for 4 day and five RBI, while teammate Ron Peterson went 3 for 4 and two runs batted in. For Team Blue, it was Danny Boxberger and Jesse Ochoa leading the way. Both players went 4 for 5 and knocked in four runs apiece.
Ducklow, a pull hitter from Spring Valley, Wisconsin, went the other way today with most of his hits being drilled to straight-a-way center field.
The TOTS will take a break over the weekend and will be back at it next week with games on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
