Tucson Old Timers (TOTS)
60-and-over baseball
In April, the Tucson Old Timers will host its annual luncheon. Details on the time and place will be announced next week.
Over the years, the TOTS have been honored with well-known guest speakers, most of them professional baseball players, former Tucson sports stars and local coaches. In recent years, the TOTS, a 60-and-over baseball club in its 49th year, has had the honor of having the likes of Eddie Leon, George Arias (both in 2014), Jerry Stitt (2013), Ted Fowler (2012), Jeano Savard (2011), Tom Waddell (2010), Ed Rosberg (2009), Jack Howell (2007), Chip Hale (2005) and Leon, once again, back in 1996.
Back in 1985, the TOTS were honored with the great Bob Feller as guest speaker. Other notable speakers included Mike Feber (1994), Jerry Kindall (1995), Mike Candrea (1998), Dick Tomey (1999) and former Arizona Daily Star sports reporter Abe Chanin (2000), along with the TOTS' own Brad Tolson in 2015.
The TOTS' committee is hard at work finalizing the details for this year's luncheon.
