Yankees, Astros roll on

American League Division Series Update


Didi Gregorius launches a grand slam in the third inning and the New York Yankees (2-0) roll over Minnesota 8-2 on Saturday in New York. Masahiro Tanaka (1-0) goes five innings and picks up the win. The ALDS switches to Minnesota for Game 3 on Monday.

In Houston, Gerrit Cole (1-0) struck out 15 and Alex Bregman homers en route to a 3-1 win as the Astros take a commanding 2-0 lead in the ALDS. Cole goes 7 2/3 innings and allows just four hits, no runs, walks one batter and throws 118 pitches. Game 3 at Tampa Bay on Monday.
