Men's Senior Baseball League World Series

70-and-over Central Division Playoffs

The San Antonio Texans will take on the Philadelphia Mustangs in first-round playoff action at the Men's Senior Baseball League World Series on Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the Salt River Complex in Scottsdale, the spring training home of the Colorado Rockies and the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Texans roster consist of five players from the 60-and-over Tucson Old Timers (Bob Daliege, Pete Peters, Bill Mishler, Lloyd Barzell and Pigpen Price).

The Texans went 3-2 this week in the round robin games and have knocked off Seattle, Kansas City and Australia, while losing to a team from Norman, Oklahoma (Driscolls) and to the front runner New England (5-0).

San Antonio will need to beat Philadelphia in order to advance to the semi-finals later in the day. Two wins will put them into the championship game on Saturday, scheduled for 9 a.m. at Finch Park in Mesa.

Note: The Texans' first playoff game will take place at Field #R6, the Colorado Rockies' side of the Salt River Sports Complex.
