Dodgers, Braves take 2-1 leads in NLDS

National League Division Series Update

Down 1-0, the Atlanta Braves (2-1) rally in the ninth inning and beat the Cardinals 3-1 in St. Louis today. St. Louis starter Adam Wainwright pitched a gem for 7 2/3 innings, but closer Carlos Martinez came on in the ninth and allowed three runs -- an RBI-double to tie the game by Atlanta's  Dansby Swanson and a two-run single from Adam Duvall to give the Cardinals the two-run cushion in the NLDS.

The Cardinals went quietly in the bottom of the ninth inning.

In Washington, it was all Dodgers today as Justin Turner homered during a seven-run sixth inning and Los Angeles went on to beat the Nationals, 10-4 to take a 2-1 advantage in the NLDS. Catcher Russell Martin drove in four runs for the Dodgers.
