Too many quarterbacks, not enough touchdowns for the Wildcats

Arizona Wildcats Football

In Palo Alto today, the visiting Arizona Wildcats (now 4-4, 2-3) had too many quarterbacks and not enough touchdowns as Stanford holds on for 41-31 Pac-12 victory.

As for the Cardinal, they had Costello and the Wildcats were more Abbott-like.

Stanford's quarterback K.J. Costello out dueled the Arizona QB-tandem of Khalil Tate and Grant Gunnell. Costello threw for 312 yards and three touchdowns, while Arizona's duo combined for 273 yards and three scores. Tate threw two interceptions. That about sums it up, unless we discuss Arizona's defense.

Next up: Arizona will host Oregon State on Saturday.
