Boxberger goes 2 for 4 in MSBL win
Men's Senior Baseball League World Series
70-and-over Central Division
Seattle Mariners
Catcher Danny Boxberger, who plays on the 60-and-over Tucson Old Timers, is a member of the 70-and-over Seattle Mariners at the Men's Senior Baseball League World Series this week in Phoenix and he helped his team to a 10-9 second-round win today over Driscoll, a team from Oklahoma.
Boxberger went 2 for 4 at Tempe Diablo Stadium as Seattle evened its record at 1-1, after losing 24-8 on Sunday to the San Antonio Texans -- a team with a roster that includes five of his teammates from the Tucson Old Timers.
The Texans and the New England Red Sox are the only two unbeaten teams in the 70-and-over Central Division with two of the five round robin games in the books.
Seattle takes on Kansas City on Tuesday in Peoria at 9:30 a.m., while the San Antonio Texans take on Australia in the last game of the day at 1:45 p.m.
