Wildcats advance to Pac-12 tourney final

A 14-3 run to start the second half, spearheaded by three long-range bombs from Nick Johnson, Brendon Lavender and Kyle Fogg brought Arizona back from a dismal showing in the first half as the Wildcats went on to beat the Oregon State Beavers,72-61, in the semifinals of the Pac-12 Tournament tonight at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Down 34-27 at the half, the Wildcats led 54-42 midway through the half and held on down the stretch to knock the surprising Beavers out of the tournament. Jesse Perry played a big part in the Wildcats' comeback as well, scoring 10 of his 16 points in the first 12 minutes of the second half. Fogg did his thing as usual -- scoring 22 points, 17 of them coming in the final 20 minutes of action. And now it's on to the tourney final and one win away from a Pac-12 title...and another trip to the NCAA Tournament.

Red-eye report: Up early...just couldn't sleep...just had to know. Colorado upsets California. We play the Buffs! Go figure!
