Two top-10 teams split in Houston

The Arizona Wildcats and the Rice Owls, both currently ranked in the Top-10 in collegiate baseball, split a two-game series in Houston, with the Owls winning the opener 5-1 on Wednesday and the Wildcats salvaging the final game of the series on Thursday, 8-5.

My man Johnny Field goes 0 for 7 in the series as his average drops under .400 for the first time this season. Field is hitting at a .383 clip, 20 percentage points behind the new team leader Alex Mejia.

Arizona takes a 14-3 record into this weekend's series at Hi Corbett Field with Washington State.
