Grandson Jadon scores 2 TDs for Mighty Mites

Southern Arizona Youth Football

Grandson Jadon Price scored on a 5-yard TD run in the first half and capped the day off by tossing a 45-yard TD pass late in the second half to lead the NW Mountains Lions to a 21-0 win over the San Manuel Miners this afternoon at Amphi Middle School.

It was the second win of the season for the Lions, members of the SAYF Mitey Mite Fall League. Jadon,11, took a hand off from his buddy and best friend, quarterback Jarod Peck, early in the game and scampered up the middle for the Lions' first score. Then, late in the game, took another hand off from Peck, stopped, pumped and hit receiver Zack Karlik for the longest play from scrimmage of the day. Karlik also caught a 25-yard TD pass from Peck at the start of the second half and the Lions' defense added a safety to complete the scoring.
