It's the Cardinals and the Rangers

The St. Louis Cardinals blasted the Brewers' pitching in Milwaukee tonight 12-6. It was all Cardinals from the get go as St. Louis scored four runs in the first, another in the second inning and four more in the top of the third to take a commanding 9-4 lead into the fourth. The Cardinals came out of nowhere, 10 1/2 games back of the Atlanta Braves at one point of the regular season, to grab the postseason wild card and they've been on a rampage ever since, blasting the Philadelphia Phillies in the National League Division Series and now the Brewers in the National League Championship Series, four games to two.

And now the Cardinals will take on the Texas Rangers, the champions of the American League,
beginning Wednesday night at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. The Cardinals and the Rangers. Go figure! Of all the possible combinations for the Fall Classic, I didn't figure on this one.
